Spruce Grove Saints – Private Team Area (Arena Integration)
The Spruce Grove Saints private team area was designed as a dedicated space within the new arena to support the day-to-day needs of the team. While fully integrated into the larger facility, it provides the Saints with a clear identity and a space tailored specifically to their operations.
The layout is simple and efficient, supporting both game day and training. The space includes a pro dressing room with a cold tub and sauna, training and therapy areas, classrooms, a kitchen and lounge, a merchandise room, and a VIP lounge. Each area is thoughtfully arranged to work together, with team circulation kept separate from public areas to maintain focus and security.
Materials and finishes were selected for durability and ease of maintenance, recognizing the heavy daily use of a hockey environment. At the same time, the space maintains a clean, professional feel, with subtle integration of the Saints’ branding.
The project was also driven by the need to deliver a high-quality space within the organizations budget. The design focuses on efficient use of space, coordinated systems, and practical construction solutions to keep costs under control while meeting performance needs.
This was a unique and complex project, delivered as a tenant improvement within the construction of a new arena. Our consultants and construction team worked closely with the arena team and the municipality, while also coordinating directly with the Saints’ ownership and user groups. Strong communication and collaboration across all parties were key to navigating the complexity and delivering a high-quality facility.
